Geyser is easy to add yourself, and it pairs with Floodgate to give you smooth Java/Bedrock crossplay. Here's what each one does and how they work together.
Installing Geyser
Geyser installs easily from the Plugins tab — you add Geyser-Spigot in a click. Our team can help if you get stuck, but most people set it up themselves in a minute.
How Geyser and Floodgate relate
- Geyser translates the Bedrock protocol into Java, so Bedrock clients can connect to your Java server.
- Floodgate is the companion plugin that lets those Bedrock players join without owning a Java account. Without Floodgate, Geyser would require Bedrock players to link or own a Java account.
Use both together for the smoothest crossplay experience.
Tip: Think of Geyser as the translator and Floodgate as the "no Java account required" pass — you want both.
