Is my database safe — did I lose it or get it "stolen"?
Your databases are private to your account and aren't visible to other customers. If one seems to have gone missing or been accessed, the explanation is nearly always simpler — and safer — than it first appears.
How your data is protected
Only someone with your credentials or panel access can reach your database. As long as those stay secret, your data stays yours. You can view your databases any time in the Databases tab.
Checking and securing your database
- View your databases anytime in the Databases tab — if it's listed, it's there.
- Keep both your credentials and panel access secret, since only those can reach the database.
- If you suspect exposure, reset the database password from the Databases tab.
Warning: The most common cause of "stolen data" is leaked credentials — for example, committed to a public repo. Rotate the password immediately if that happens.
