How do I install multiple mods at once or a whole server pack?

Rather than adding mods one at a time for a full modpack, use the Modpacks installer or upload the whole server pack. The single most important rule: every mod in the pack must target the same Minecraft version and loader.

Two paths for packs

For a known modpack, the Modpacks tab installs it in one step. For a custom server pack, you upload and unarchive the pack, then match your Startup and version to it.

Installing a pack

  1. For Minecraft, use the Modpacks tab to install a known modpack in one step.
  2. For a custom server pack, upload the pack (often a zip) via SFTP, unarchive it, and set the Startup/version to match (Forge/Fabric + the right MC version).
  3. Restart from the Console tab.

Warning: All mods in a pack must target the same Minecraft version and loader (Forge or Fabric) — a mismatch is the top cause of a pack failing to load. See the Minecraft KB.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a client pack and a server pack? Use the server files of the pack on the host — client-only files won't run a server.

Can I bulk-upload mods? Yes — SFTP the whole mods folder at once for a fast bulk install.
