Which server locations are available for bot hosting?

Where your bot is hosted affects latency and, sometimes, regional requirements. This article covers the locations we offer for Discord Bot hosting and what to do if you need something more specific.

Available locations

Our customer-facing locations for bot hosting are:

• New York — North America (NA)
• Germany — Europe (EU)

These cover the two regions most of our customers need, giving you a solid choice on either side of the Atlantic.

Need a specific region or hardware?

If you need a specific region or hardware beyond New York and Germany, open a ticket and we'll let you know what's available. We'd rather give you an accurate answer for your situation than promise something up front.

Tip: For most Discord bots, latency to Discord's own servers matters more than raw distance — either location typically performs well, so pick the one closest to you or your users.

Frequently asked questions

Which location should I choose? Generally the one closest to you or the majority of your users. Both locations are well-suited to bot hosting.

Can I get a region you don't list? Possibly — open a ticket describing what you need and we'll tell you what we can offer.
