Can I get an exact time my server goes offline, or schedule its deletion?

If you want to know precisely when your server will go offline — or plan its shutdown yourself — this article explains how the timing works and how to schedule a clean cancellation.

How the timing works

For unpaid invoices, the timeline is fixed: invoice due, then suspend, then delete after 10 days. For a planned shutdown, you control it by cancelling the service — either immediately or at end of cycle in billing.

How to plan a shutdown

  1. For an exact planned shutdown, set a cancellation at end of cycle in billing — the service ends when the current cycle does.
  2. For an immediate stop, cancel immediately.
  3. Back up first — files are deleted on cancellation.

Warning: Files are deleted when a service is cancelled. Download a full backup via Files/SFTP before the shutdown takes effect.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get an exact minute my server suspends for non-payment? Suspension follows the unpaid-invoice timeline (due → suspend → delete after 10 days) rather than an exact clock time. For precision, plan a cancellation yourself.

How do I schedule my own shutdown? Set a cancellation at end of cycle in billing for a clean, predictable end date.

Will I keep my data after cancelling? No — files are deleted on cancellation. Back up first if you want to keep anything.
