Can I recover or reactivate a deleted or long-unpaid server with its data?

Whether you can get a server back with its data depends entirely on where it is in the suspension-to-deletion timeline. This article explains both cases and exactly what we need to attempt a recovery.

Suspended vs. deleted

  • Suspended (not yet 10 days): just pay the invoice and it reactivates with data intact.
  • Deleted (after 10 days): the files are removed. A $5 restore may recover a recently deleted or cancelled server if it's still available.

How to attempt a deleted-server restore

  1. Find the server's Console URL in your browser history — that URL contains the Server ID and the old IP address, which is exactly what we need to locate it.
  2. Open a ticket quickly with that Console URL and request the $5 restore.
  3. Understand that the longer it's been, the less likely recovery is.

Warning: Recovery odds drop the longer a server has been deleted. If you want to try, dig out that Console URL and open a ticket right away.

Frequently asked questions

My server is only suspended — is my data safe? Yes. Pay the invoice before the 10-day mark and it reactivates with everything intact.

What's the Console URL and where do I find it? It's the panel address for your server, saved in your browser history. It holds the Server ID and old IP we need to find a deleted server.

Is recovery guaranteed after deletion? No. The $5 restore may work if the server is still available, but the longer it's been, the lower the chance.
