What port do I get, and can I choose a specific one (25565, 19132, custom)?

Every server gets an assigned primary port, and you can add more for extra services. This article explains what port you get, whether you can pick a specific number, and how to keep the port hidden from players.

The port you are assigned

Your server gets an assigned primary port, shown as IP:port. Whether it happens to be the "clean" default 25565 depends on the node. If it is not, a custom domain with an SRV record hides any non-25565 port from players entirely — they just type your domain and connect.

For Bedrock/Geyser, you will add a UDP port (commonly 19132) in the Ports tab.

Can you choose the number?

  1. You cannot always pick an exact arbitrary port number — the panel assigns from what is available on your node.
  2. You can freely add allocations in the Ports tab for extra services.
  3. If you need a specific number for a particular setup, ask in a ticket and we will see what is possible.

Tip: Do not worry about a non-25565 port for Java players. An SRV record on your own domain makes the port invisible — players never type it.

Frequently asked questions

Will I get port 25565? It depends on the node. If not, a custom domain with an SRV record hides the actual port so players only see your domain.

What port does Bedrock use? Commonly UDP 19132, which you add as an allocation in the Ports tab for Geyser or a Bedrock server.

Can I request a specific port? You cannot always pick an exact number yourself, but open a ticket and we will check what your node allows.
