Which region gives the best ping for LATAM / South America / Mexico?
For Central and South America, New York (NA) is generally the closer of our two regions and usually gives the lower ping. It's the best fit for LATAM communities.
Why New York wins for LATAM
Ping is mostly a function of distance and routing, which a host can't shorten beyond choosing the nearest location. From Mexico and most of South America, New York sits far closer than Germany, so latency is lower.
Players who are far from both regions will see higher ping regardless — that's the nature of physical distance.
Tip: If you're unsure, test both by connecting and running
/ping(or watching the F3 latency) with a few players from your community.

Is there a South America region? Not at this time — New York (NA) is the nearest option for LATAM. Let us know your interest in a ticket.
My ping is still high on New York. Distance and your ISP's routing both play a part. Compare against Germany to confirm New York is genuinely closer for you.
