Restore fees depend on what you're restoring — your own saved copy, a live-server restore through us, or recovering a fully deleted server. This article lays out each case so there are no surprises.

Restoring your own saved copy

Re-uploading a backup you saved is always free — you do it yourself via Files or SFTP. No fee applies.

For a backup restore through our team:

Supreme and Ultimate: free.
Budget: $3 per restore.

Recovering a deleted server (different situation)

Separately, there's a $5 server-restore fee for recovering a deleted or cancelled server — that's not the same as restoring a live server. To attempt it, you'll need the server's Console URL from your browser history, which contains the Server ID and old IP address. See the deleted-server recovery article for that path.

Tip: Keep your own downloaded copies — restoring those is free on every plan and puts you in full control.

Does it cost anything to upload my own backup? No. Re-uploading a copy you saved is free via Files/SFTP on any plan.

Why does Budget have a $3 restore fee? Staff-side restores are free on Supreme and Ultimate; on Budget they're $3 per restore. Your own uploads remain free.

What's the difference between the $3 and $5 fees? The $3 (Budget) is for restoring a live server through us. The $5 is for recovering a deleted/cancelled server, which needs your Console URL from browser history.
