Where is the Backups section / why is there no backup option?

If you've gone looking for the Backups tab and can't find a backup option, nothing is wrong with your server. The panel's Backups tab is temporarily unavailable while we upgrade it. Here's what's happening and what to do in the meantime.

Why the Backups tab is missing

We're upgrading the Backups feature to a new deduplicated backup system that's much more efficient with disk space. While that work is underway, the tab is temporarily unavailable to clients. This is expected right now — it's not a fault on your server.

How to back up in the meantime

1. Open the Files tab (or connect via SFTP).
2. Select your world folder (and world_nether, world_the_end, plus plugins/mods/configs for a full copy).
3. Archive to a .zip and download it to your computer.
4. If you need staff help with a backup or restore, open a ticket.

Tip: Keep dated copies on your own computer until the upgraded system is live — that's your safety net during the transition.

Frequently asked questions

Is my server broken because the tab is gone? No. The tab is intentionally unavailable during the upgrade — every server is affected, not just yours.

When will the Backups tab come back? It returns with the new deduplicated system. We're not promising a date, but it's actively being built.

How do I back up until then? Download your world and files via Files or SFTP, and open a ticket if you'd like staff assistance.
