How do I add or upgrade vCores, and can I trade RAM for cores?

CPU allocation is part of your plan/tier, and how you scale it depends on how your tier is structured. Here's what you can do and when to reach out.

How CPU scales

Each tier comes with a set number of vCores — Budget 2, Supreme 3, Ultimate 4 (dedicated threads) — and you can add extra vCores for +$5/mo each, when ordering or with Change plan on the server's Billing page. Whether you can trade RAM for cores depends on your tier's structure, so open a ticket and we'll advise what yours allows.

1. Open the server's Billing page in the client area and choose Change plan to see the CPU options on your tier.
2. If they're not shown, open a ticket and tell us what you need.
3. We'll let you know what your tier supports.

Tip: For Minecraft, strong per-core performance matters more than raw core count. Higher tiers (Supreme/Ultimate on Ryzen 7700) give stronger single-thread speed, which is what TPS depends on most.
