How do I downgrade my plan or reduce RAM?

Downgrades are done through billing the same way as upgrades — pick a smaller RAM amount or a lower tier on your service. Your files stay in place, but there are a couple of things to check first.

Before you downgrade

The main thing to watch is disk. If the smaller plan has less disk than your files currently use, you'll need to get your usage under the new cap first — otherwise the server won't fit and may not start.

1. Take a backup of your world/files.
2. Check your current disk usage against the smaller plan's cap; trim if needed.
3. Choose the smaller RAM amount or lower tier in the billing portal.
