Can you reactivate a terminated server with my data intact?

If a terminated server had data you need, reactivation with that data intact may be possible — but only if a backup still exists. Here's how to check and what it involves.

When reactivation is possible

Once a server is terminated, bringing it back with your original data depends entirely on whether a backup still exists. If one does, we can restore it. If it doesn't, the data can't be recovered — which is why acting quickly matters.

How to request it

1. Open a ticket on our billing website.
2. Provide the old server IP and the Console URL (found in your browser history — it contains the server ID).
3. If a backup is found, a restore is $5 and isn't guaranteed.

Warning: Recovery is never guaranteed after termination. Reach out as soon as possible to give any surviving backup the best chance of still being available.
