How do I recover files from a terminated server, and what does it cost?

If a server was terminated and you need your files back, recovery may still be possible — subject to availability. The key is acting quickly and giving us the right details to locate any surviving backup.

How recovery works

After termination, a backup of your data may still exist for a short time. We can check, and if one is found, restore it for you. Because nothing is guaranteed after termination, the sooner you ask, the better your chances.

Steps to request recovery

  1. Open a billing ticket on our billing website.
  2. Include the old server IP and the Console URL (which contains the server ID). You can find the Console URL in your browser history from when you used the panel.
  3. If a backup is found, a restore costs $5.

Warning: Backups aren't guaranteed after termination — ask as soon as possible, before any surviving data ages out.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find the Console URL? Check your browser history for the panel address you used to open your server's console — it contains the server ID we need to locate the data.

What if I don't have the old IP or Console URL? These details make recovery far more likely. Open a ticket with whatever you have and we'll try to help, but the Console URL is the most important piece.

Is the $5 charged even if nothing is found? The $5 applies to an actual restore. If no backup exists, there's nothing to restore.
