What happens when my subscription expires — is my data deleted?
It's important to understand the timeline when a subscription lapses, so you know exactly how long you have to act.
The expiry timeline
When a subscription lapses without payment:
- The server is suspended.
- It is deleted 10 days later, and all data is removed.
Occasionally a security backup may hold remnants, but without your server ID (from the console URL) and server IP, that data can't be fetched — and even then recovery isn't guaranteed.
Protecting your data
Tip: Keep your own backups and enable auto-pay so a subscription never expires unexpectedly.
You can download your world/files any time from the Files manager or via SFTP — that's the surest way to keep a copy.
